The philosophy of Keith Steier, owner of Knockout Renovation, drives all of our design work. Prior to founding the company in 1992, he honed his skills as a handyman for the prestigious 100 UN Plaza in Manhattan’s Turtle Bay, on behalf of residents ranging from diplomats to celebrities. He even helped the spouse of one shall-remain-nameless Academy Award winner gain freedom from the wrong side of a jammed bathroom door! Before that, Keith served as the superintendent of a large co-op for seven years, and served in the United States Navy, where he specialized as a welder, plumber, sheet-metal fabricator and damage controlman. It was his Naval experience that made Keith realize he would broaden his skills and one day establish his own remodeling firm.In addition to operating Knockout Renovation and serving as a popular resource for national and local media, Keith has hosted a renovation show which airs periodically on Manhattan (MNN) and Brooklyn (BCAT) cable networks.
