Dining Room Before

We removed the flooring and subfloor, leveled the beams with sister beams by locating the highest point in the apt and raising the lowest part to the highest part of the floor with no more than a 1/4″ difference. We then installed new wide plank flooring and stained the red oak flooring to a Royal Mahogany color. We also removed the old the base molding and replaced it with a 3-piece base molding in order to bring the molding high enough throughout the apt. We also removed the fireplace surround, the fireplace mirror and inserted a piece of absolute black granite for bottom piece and for the fireplace surround. We also put new molding and replaced the mirror with a beveled edge. We removed the the dining room chandelier and inserted a decor dimmer.

Master Bedroom Before

We removed the carpet and the subfloor and leveled beams within a 1/4″ and installed a wide plank flooring stained Royal Mahogany. We also replaced the base molding and skim coated, sanded and painted the bedroom a Benjamin Moore gunmetal color.

We put a 4 1/2″ wide molding around the front door, installed a stone threshold in absolute black and , installed a new pine 2 raised panel door painted in Benjamin Moore’s Universal Black, with fire rated hinges, and a new baldwin polished chrome mortise lock from Baldwin. We also installed new silver decora dimmers off to the side of the front door.

Second Bedroom Before

We painted this second bedroom with a Benjamin Moore eggshell Green color and installed new 3 piece base molding. The trim and base molding is painted with a Benjamin Moore glossy extra white color.

In the living room, we removed the flooring and base molding down to the beams.

We installed a wide plank floor stained in one coat of Royal Mahogany, a 3 piece molding painted in glossy extra white. The walls were painted in a Benjamin Moore Beacon Gray Eggshell Finish.
